On January 20th, 2023, the official Japanese anime Twitter account posted a quote from Mamoru Miyano, Dent's voice actor, from the press release.

The days I spent on the TV anime "Pocket Monsters Best Wishes" were invaluable to me. I met people I love, learned a lot as an actor, and have many treasures that are imporant in my life. This time, I'm really, really happy to appear for the first time in about 7 years!
Satoshi's victory is very emotional for me, both as a staff member and as a viewer of the Pocket Monsters TV animation since its broadcast in 1997... I am filled with emotion...
Dent has not appeared in this show for a long time, but as expected, he talks a lot when he does appear (laugh).
Once again, with his expertise and knowledge, he is like a talking machine gun (laughs)
Please look forward to see what kind of case the high-spirited Dent will face with Satoshi and his friends!

Satoshi and Pikachu are on a carefree journey. While having lunch with Kasumi, who has decided to join them in their travels again, find that the master of the restaurant is...... Takeshi! And then Dent shows up! They are unexpectedly reunited with their former travel companions!

Takeshi, who is feeling low after a heartbreak, is lead away when a wild Brimuon, also known as "the Forest Witch", suddenly appears in front of him. What is the fate of Takeshi, who has been kidnapped by Brimuon? What is Brimuon's purpose for doing this?
