On August 30th, 2022, the official spoon.2Di magazine Twitter account reminded viewers that spoon.2Di issue 89 featured an interview with Tomo Sakurai who voices Shirona. The issue went on sale on August 31st, 2022 for 1,227 yen.

A special feature for this issue is an interview with Tomo Sakurai, who plays Shirona in the TV anime "Pocket Monsters" and the semifinal Shirona VS Satoshi battle, which will be broadcast soon, features Shirona and Gablias.

On August 12th, 2022, The Pokémon Company published a press release and preview video for the semifinal round of the Pokémon World Championships Masters Tournament.

The semifinal battles between the top four players of the Pokémon World Championships, a tournament to determine the strongest Pokémon Trainer, will finally start on the TV anime Pocket Monsters, which is being broadcast every Friday at 6:55 on TV Tokyo! A new PV has been released!

The Masters Tournament, where champions and league winners from each region gather, has been hotly contested so far. In the final match of the first round, Satoshi won the battle against Houen Champion Daigo to earn the last slot in the semifinals! The undefeated champion, Galar Champion Dande, Kalos Champion Carne, Sinnoh Champion Shirona, and the first Alola League Champion Satoshi, all made it to the semifinal round!

In the PV, Satoshi's battle with his next opponent, Shirona, unfolds with an amazing presentation. Satoshi is at the mercy of overwhelming experience and strength. The day of the Masters Tournament semifinals has arrived. And as Shirona tells Satoshi about how she first met her partner Gablias, the first semifinal match, a battle between Dande and Carne, is about to begin at Shoot Stadium... It's time for the second semifinal match, where Satoshi faces Shirona in a match with advancement to the finals on the line! At the end of the original airing of this episode on TV Tokyo, To Be Continued was replaced with the text: After the commercials, we'll announce the code! Get your memo pads ready! (CMの後はあいことばの発表！メモの準備を！). A serial code for Satoshi's Gangar for Pokémon Sword and Shield was revealed.
The international dub versions remove the "To Be Continued" text entirely.
