The Japanese narrator states that Satoshi and his friends are walking on a mountain path while the English dub narrator doesn't mention the path and instead says that something is going to capture their attention.

Narrator:Something interesting is about to capture their attention.
Japanese Narrator: The group, en route to Kogane City where the next Gym is located, is currently following a mountain path.

Kasumi thinks the roof of the house looks cute (かわいい屋根のお家) in the Japanese original while Misty says just the house looks cute and doesn't even mention the roof at all. She makes a similar comment at 2:53 in the English dub again.

Misty: Hey! Look at that guys! It's such a cute little place!
Kasumi: Hey, look at that! There's a house with a really cute roof!

Sanae introduces herself at this point in the episode in the Japanese version but she does not do so in the English dub.

Olesia:Oh! I'm so glad to hear that. I was afraid my Wooper might have gotten you injured.
Sanae: My name is Sanae. This little one is my Upah.

As Olesia had yet to introduce herself to Brock in the English dub, yet he somehow knows her name.

Brock: Don't you feel exactly that way too Olesia?
Takeshi:Your Upah must surely be Cupid itself, Sanae-san!

The English dub changes the line from Kasumi telling Takeshi that his flirting wasn't going to go any further to a rhyming line that Misty says based on Cupid and Stupid which actually works out quite well despite it not being exactly what Kasumi was originally saying.

Misty: Come on Brock, let's not let Cupid make you stupid.
Kasumi: Yeah, yeah, that's as far as you go today.

The origins and background of the Wooper preschool in the English dub are different as it goes into detailed specifics but the Japanese original's nursery school explanation is actually quite vague in comparison. Sanae said that Upah have always been popular in the area but Olesia in the English dub seems to infer that the Wooper weren't popular there until she built the preschool.

Olesia: I love Wooper and when I was younger I babysat them all the time. Then one day I found this pond which is a perfect place to raise them. Pretty soon the Wooper just started coming and I ended up building this preschool.
Sanae: Upah have always been extremely popular in this area and since the water in this pond is very well suited for raising Upah, this place, where I was taking care of Upah, somehow turned into a nursery school.

Sanae tells Kasumi that the Upah have a calming effect to which Kasumi tries to get her Togepi to feel their calming feeling.

Misty in the English dub asks to see how Olesia teaches her Wooper and she agrees to show Misty but right after she agrees Olesia decides its time for recess! The calming feeling isn't really expanded upon in the English dub and is replaced with Misty wanting her Togepi to learn something instead of it trying to sense the calming nature of the Wooper.

Character English Translation Japanese
Olesia I can't explain it but the Wooper just give me a good feeling. Don't you feel that looking at Upah somehow calms your hearts?
Misty I see what you mean and I'd love to see how you'd teach the Wooper. Yes, absolutely. Is it okay if we stay here for a bit?
Olesia I'll show you right now! Of course.
Misty Now pay attention Togepi and maybe you can learn something too! Here, Togepi. Does this calm you, too?
Olesia Alright class its time for our recess. All right, everyone, it's play time!

Jessie in the English dub compares herself to a Diglett whereas Musashi was just complaining that she was tired of scrounging around the mountain looking for food.

Jessie: I'm tired scrounging around for food like some dirty little Diglett.
Musashi: Oh geez! Day after day we've been living on what the mountain has to offer.

James wants to look for a rare Pokémon while Kojiro wants to look for some food.

James: Maybe if we look really hard we can find a rare Pokémon!
Kojiro: Exactly. Anyway, let's pick up the pace and find us some food, shall we?

Once again, the English dub removes the reference to Wooper having a calming effect during James dialog.

Character English Translation Japanese
James Its absolutely adorable, isn't it Jessie? Don't they say that Upah have a calming effect?
Meowth It reminds me of me. It sure calms my heart.

Sanae's guidebook had three main points and she quotes the third point to Satoshi. Olesia's statement has a similar intended meaning but she doesn't quote her notebook in the English dub.

Olesia: Oh you don't know my Wooper very well Ash. Team Rocket are the ones that are in trouble now.
Sanae: "A Guide to Upah Raising, Point 3. Do not fight my Upah."

Nyarth in the Japanese original questions the strength of the Upah. Meowth is equally surprised in the English dub but once again they do a rhyming line and forgo the rhetorical question.

Meowth: Wow! That's a real super Wooper!
Nyarth: Wh-What's with that Upah?!

Earlier in the episode in the English dub, Olesia establishes that her mother broke her leg and was now in a cast. Now during this scene, Ash says that he's glad to hear that Olesia's mom's leg has healed and she's out of her cast and walking about. That's the fastest broken leg recovery in human history!

Ash: We're all glad to hear your mom's leg is out of the cast and that she's up and around Olesia.
Satoshi: Good thing your mother didn't seem to have been seriously injured, Sanae-san.
