Summary
This week featured a continuation of last weeks rerun theme, 'Pikachu and Nyarth's Nice Little Talks', and The Island of Giant Pokémon!? was this weeks repeat episode. In this episode, Satoshi and the Rocket Gang both end up separated from their Pokémon after a shipwreck, and the 7 lost Pokémon explore the mysterious island they've washed ashore on, searching for their trainers, while their dialogue is subtitled for the viewers' convenience.

Next, the crew wanted to showcase the HeartGold and SoulSilver safari zone, and Robert pulled in a large diorama featuring different landscapes found in the zone. Red, Golgo and Shoko-tan were blindfolded and given finger dolls to "explore" the zone with, but as they were "walking around, Robert activated a remote-control Sihorn that attacked them, freaking them out.

Next, Robert and Takayuki Haranishi (原西孝幸) from the comedy duo FUJIWARA, who also joined them for the fishing tournament some months back, went out in the wild to experience a "real" Safari Zone. The group was divided into two team, Baba/Haranishi and Yamamoto/Akiyama, and they were to locate the different Nintendo DS systems in the area, explore a particular area of the HGSS Safari Zone, and catch as many Pokémon as they could. Different Pokémon gave different point values, so the participants tried searching for rarer ones. For the final round, Safari Zone Blocks were also added to the mix, making a lot of rare Pokémon appear. In the end, Baba and Haranishi ended up winning the tournament.

In the Pokémon Game Arena, a boy named Satoshi was today's participant in the Television Viewer Battles, and just like Satoshi in the anime made Hiroshi his rival, he had decided upon Hiroshi Yamamoto as his rival, and wanted to battle him. Like in the anime, Hiroshi won in the end.

The title on this episode is interesting. From the preview video, it seems as though the crew goes on a Pokemon Safari and then plays the games in the Safari zone.

HeartGold and SoulSilver.
I found the episode to be quite dull, really. While the idea of a Pokémon Catching Contest in a real-life Safari Zone is interesting enough in theory, the actual "Safari Zone" area didn't play any real purpose, and watching people just run around catching Pokemon on their DSes just isn't particularly entertaining. Having an obstacle course with various Pokémon figures spread around to collect would've been a much better idea.

Yes, this was a pretty boring episode. One of the most boring ones in quite a while. I also agree that watching them catch a bunch of Pokemon wasn't fun to watch and then to follow that up with a PBR battle was even less entertaining.
