On August 19th, 2022, Faye Mata posted a picture of herself cosplaying as Cynthia while sitting in the chair at the 2022 Pokémon World Championships. On August 20th, 2022, the official Pokémon Twitter account retweeted saying the outfit was an "incredible cosplay" and asked others to post their other favorite Worlds cosplays. Faye also commented saying that "Cynthia would wear red bottoms".
