Summary
Ash and co. are headed towards Pastoria City for Ash's next gym battle. Right now, Ash is spending some time with Gligar. Gligar jumps into the air, and Ash tell it to turn to the right. Gligar turns the wrong way, and it begins to fall. It continues to fall until it crashes into a rock. Ash runs up to Gligar to make sure it is okay. Dawn gets up and scolds Ash because Gligar almost hit her. Ash apologizes. Then he notices that Dawn is looking at the same magazine again. Dawn tells her friends that the magazine shows pictures up Pokémon dressed up in fashion clothes. As Dawn flips through the pages, she points to Buneary's favorite - a Pikachu dressed in fashion. When Dawn is done flipping through the magazine, she gets out a vest that her and her mom designed. She places it on Buneary. Ash and Brock notice that the vest looks really good on Buneary, and they compliment on it. Even Pikachu tells Buneary that it looks good, and Buneary blushes.

Suddenly, Buneary hears something nearby. Moments later, Ash and co. hear the noise, and a Chingling pops out from the bushes. Dawn looks up Chingling in her Pokédex. The Chingling begins to hug everyone. Ash is surprised at how happy the Chingling is. Then Gligar appears and hugs Ash, and Ash falls to the ground with Gligar. Ash recovers and returns Gligar back into its Pokéball. Suddenly, a girl comes out and recognizes the Chingling. Ash assumes that the Chingling belongs to her, and the girl confirms it. She introduces herself as Francesca, and then Ash and co. introduce themselves. Brock falls in love with Francesca, but Croagunk stops him before he goes completely insane. Dawn compliments on how adorable Francheska's Chingling is. Francesca thanks Dawn and mentions that her Chingling is a bit spoiled. She isn't too happy about that because she states that she is a Pokémon Magician. So, she decides to give Ash and co. a little show.

For Francesca's first act, she starts off by placing a white sheet on a table. Underneath the sheet, a Chingling magically appears. Then she places the sheet back down on the Chingling and a second Chingling appears. Ash, Dawn, and Brock applaude for Francesca and her Chingling. Francesca places the sheet back down on both Chingling and a third Chingling appears. After all three Chingling appear on the table, they sing in harmony. Then out of Francesca's hat appears a Pidgey. Francesca's first act comes to an end. She tells Ash and co. that she loves to perform her tricks in front of many audiences. For Francesca's second act, she pulls out a magic wand. Suddenly, the spoiled Chingling jumps into Francesca's arms and ruins her act by revealing the secret to one of her tricks. Francesca explains the tough situation to Ash and co. about how the spoiled Chingling can get in trouble during her performances.

Meanwhile, Team Rocket is watching the magic show through their binoculars. Meowth says that the magic show was very good. Jessie states that the table cloth was the reason for the magic. She thinks that the table cloth was for real and has magic powers. James and Meowth are surprised that Jessie doesn't know. They tell her that the whole show was a magic show, so none of it was actually real. Mewoth changes topic and talks about the singing Chingling. He thinks that the boss would like a trio of Chingling, and Meowth goes into one of his fantasies again. As his fantasy comes to the end, Team Rocket is excited about how rich they soon will be.

When Francesca's show is over, Chingling begins to cling onto Buneary. Francesca is getting tired of seeing her Chingling cling to everyone. Ash suggests that Chingling participates in a Pokémon battle. Brock thinks that it's a great idea since Pokémon do mature by battling. Francesca states that she has never been in a Pokémon battle before. Ash tells her not to worry since he plans to battle with Dawn first. Ash sends out Gligar for the battle, and Dawn plans to use Buneary. The battle then begins. Buneary starts the battle off with a Dizzy Punch. Gligar dodges the attack and then strikes Buneary with X-Scissor. Buneary fights back with a Bounce. Gligar takes the hit and then uses Sand-Attack. The sand gets all over Buneary's new vest. Dawn is angry at Ash for getting Buneary's new vest all dirty. She decides to take Buneary's vest off so that they can battle without ruining it even more.

When the vest is off, Buneary uses Ice Beam. Gligar tries to dodge it, but the Ice Beam is too quick and it hits Gligar. Gligar breaks out of the ice and counters with Steel Wing. Brock ends the battle since its purposes was to only show some moves. Ash and Dawn thank their Pokémon for the terrific battle. Now that Chingling has seen what a battle is like, it decides to give it a try. Ash and Francesca will be battling each other. For the battle, Ash chooses Turtwig. Ash reminds Turtwig that they are going to teach Chingling how to battle. Francesca recalls that Chingling can use Confusion, Astonish, and Hidden Power. When the battle starts, Francesca tells her Chingling to use Astonish. Chingling instead ends up clinging onto Turtwig. Francesca is a bit upset with Chingling as she has to manually remove Chingling from Turtwig. She encourages her Chingling to use Astonish, but it won't do it. Because Chingling isn't attacking, Ash decides to go first. He tells Turtwig to use Razor Leaf. Turtwig fires a full-powered Razor Leaf at Chingling and hits it. Chingling flies backwards and gets knocked out. Ash apologizes since the attack was a bit rough. As the group run towards Chingling, they fall into a hole.

Team Rocket appears in their balloon, and they say their motto. Near the end of the motto, Team Rocket sings their last lines in harmony. Dawn tells them that they suck. Team Rocket ignores the threat, and they capture the knocked out Chingling. Ash and co. climb out of the hole, and then they fight back. Turtwig uses Razor Leaf on the net, but the attack does nothing. James laughs as he states that the net has been specially made. Buneary then uses Ice Beam. The top part of the net freezes up and then breaks. Chingling begins to fall. Brock sends out Happiny, and it catches Chingling. Brock asks Dawn if it can get Happiny in the air. Buneary places Happiny on its back and uses Bounce. Happiny jumps off of Buneary and then uses Pound. The Pound attack shakes Team Rocket's balloon and breaks it. Their balloon crashes, and Team Rocket blasts off again.

Chingling is finally safe. To thank Ash, it clings onto him. When that's all over, Francesca performs another show for them. The three Chingling sing in harmony again, and Dawn mentions on how beautiful they sound. Chingling runs off the table and clings onto Ash again. Francesca pulls Chingling away from Ash and tells it to stop. She sighs knowing that it will be tough to get Chingling to stop. When she heads back to the table, she notices a fourth Chingling sitting on the table. Ash and co. are surprised. Francesca states that she only has three Chingling. Ash wonders if the fourth Chingling is wild. Francesca says that the only way to find out is if it can sing. So the three Chingling sing in harmony again, but when the fourth Chingling speaks, a loud, deep voice comes out of it.

The fourth Chingling is actually a fake developed by James. James is controlling it from behind the bushes. Jessie and Meowth are a bit shocked at their robot's voice. James tells them that he didn't have enough time to finish it. Ash senses that something is unusual about the fourth Chingling, and Brock agrees. Team Rocket begins to sweat as Ash and co. begin to find out their plan. James presses a button and a bunch of smoke comes out of the robot Chingling's mouth and fills the whole area. Ash and co. realize it's a fake. Team Rocket wears special goggles so that they can see in the smoke, and they capture the three Chingling. When the smoke clears, Ash, Dawn, and Brock make sure that their Pokémon are safe. When they turn to Francesca, Francesca says that she has her Chingling. Ash notices that Francesca is holding the fake one, and the rest of the Chingling are missing. So, Ash sends out Staravia to search for them.

Team Rocket takes the three Chingling out of the bag, and they sing in harmony. The spoiled Chingling then clings onto James. James immediately befriends it. He asks Jessie and Meowth if he could keep it. Jessie and Meowth tells James that they need the Chingling for the harmony. This gets James upset, and he runs away with the Chingling. James tells himself that Chingling evolve into Chimecho, so he hopes to bring the Chingling back to where his Chimecho is at so that they can reunite together.

Meanwhile, Staravia continues to search for the Chingling. It looks down and sees Jessie and Meowth with two of the Chingling. Staravia reports back to Ash that it found the Chingling. Ash and co. then follow Staravia. Back with Jessie and Meowth, they discuss about the two Chingling. Suddenly, a Chingling walks up to them. Jessie assumes that it is the third Chingling, and she is happy that James decided to return it. Suddenly, they realize that it is the fake Chingling, and it blows out smoke at them. The fake Chingling came from Ash and co. Ash demands Team Rocket to give back the Chingling. Dawn notices that Jessie and Meowth only have two of the Chingling. Jessie wants to fight. She sends out Dustox, and Ash sends out Chimchar. Dustox starts off with Tackle, but Chimchar dodges it and counters back with Flame Wheel. The Flame Wheel causes Jessie and Meowth to blast off.

Meanwhile, James is trying to convince Chingling to join Team Rocket. Since Chingling can't understand James too well, he sends out Mime Jr. Mime Jr tries to tell Chingling to join and this makes Chingling a bit upset. James is getting frustrated, and he orders Mime Jr to use Teeter Dance. This gets Chingling confused. At that moment, Ash and co. meet up with James. Mime Jr is about to tackle Chingling when Francesca orders Chingling to dodge it. Chingling obeys Francesca and dodges the attack. Then it directly hits Mime Jr with Hidden Power. Mime Jr fights back with Mimic. It fires a Hidden Power at Chingling, but Chingling dodges and then uses Confusion. The attack blasts James and Mime Jr off again.

Francesca runs up to Chingling to make sure that it's okay. Ash and Dawn tell Francesca that her battling with Team Rocket was awesome. Chingling then begins to say something at Francesca. Brock thinks that Chingling is asking for a hug. Francesca is surprised by this because her spoiled Chingling has never asked for that before. Brock thinks that Chingling is in the process of growing up. Francesca gives Chingling a big hug. Later in the day, it is time for Francesca to depart. She thanks Ash and co. for their help. As a goodbye, her three Chingling sing in a harmonic tone again. Then Ash and co. continue their way towards Pastoria City.

English Official Summary

It's another day on the road for our heroes: Ash and Gligar practice, while Dawn and Buneary study the latest Poké Chic fashion trends. They're approached by a Chingling, one of three Chingling that belong to Francesca the Pokémon magician. She demonstrates her singing Chingling act, but the one bold Chingling always ruins the show by jumping on Francesca to get attention. Ash suggests that a Pokémon battle will help settle Chingling, who's never battled before. Francesca is willing to give it a try, but Chingling's trial battle with Turtwig is disrupted by Team Rocket. Ash and his friends easily stop Team Rocket from stealing Francesca's Chingling, except the experience hasn't changed Francesca's troublesome Chingling at all. And when she runs through her act again, she notices there are four Chingling instead of three—the fourth one is a Team Rocket robot Chingling impersonator! The robot blows a wall of smoke that keeps everyone in the dark until Team Rocket swipes the real Chingling. James then steals one of the stolen Chingling for himself, hoping it will make a perfect Pokémon companion for him and his absent Chimecho. Our heroes track down Jessie and Meowth and rescue two of Francesca's Chingling, but James is still hopefully trying to convince "his" Chingling to join Team Rocket. When Chingling refuses, James orders Mime Jr. to battle it. Francesca catches up with them just in time and orders Chingling to fight back; Chingling follows her commands and beats Team Rocket! What's more, Chingling seems to be more mature than it was before, so Francesca and her Chingling are in good spirits as they bid farewell to Ash and his friends.

The only reason I gave it a 4 is for the Team Rocket Chingling and James remembering Chimecho...overwise it would probably have been a 2.
