Summary
In a meadow, our friends are taking a break. Brock is cleaning the Pokémon Egg and Ash is looking up Farfetch'd in his Pokédex. Brock and Ash go to fill up their water bottles. Misty asks if they can fill hers up as well. Brock replies with a yes and she thanks him. She gets annoyed with Psyduck. Just before she puts Psyduck in its Pokéball, she hears a strange noise. Misty sees a Farfetch'd walking along the road. Farfetch'd walks right to Misty and walks back and forth. Farfetch'd twirls its leak in the air. Misty plans to capture it but Farfetch'd starts to run away. She calls back Psyduck and runs after it. Misty spots the Farfetch'd behind the rock and goes after it. After a few turns, she runs right into a boy. The boy helps Misty up and apologizes to her. The boy gives her a backpack and runs off.

Disappointed, Misty walks back to the break area. Brock and Ash come and Misty tells them all about Farfetch'd. Brock gives Misty her water bottle. Misty begins to put it away but when she opens her backpack, it's filled with rocks. Meanwhile, the boy that Misty bumped into before is walking with his Farfetch'd. He has Misty's backpack and it looks like he stole it from her. The boy looks inside her backpack and he sees 5 Pokéballs in it. Inside the boy's tent is a lot of other backpacks and Pokéballs. Farfetch'd points to something and the boy sees Team Rocket. Farfetch'd walks right to Team Rocket. The boy tells them that he was about to get rid of his Farfetch'd. The boy leads them to a dock. He tells them that he forgot something back at his tent. He sets down his backpack and runs off. Team Rocket takes the backpack and Farfetch'd and they make their getaway on the boat. Suddenly the boat starts to sink. Farfetch'd laughs and then it flies off. Jessie and James's Pokémon floats away. Meowth suggests to use the Staryu and Starmie in the backpack. Jessie opens up the backpack but she only finds rocks in it. Farfetch'd scoops up their Pokéballs and beats up Meowth with its leak. The boat tips over and Team Rocket flows down the river. The boy congratulates Farfetch'd for the nice work.

Ash and co. are at the police station talking to Officer Jenny. Officer Jenny tells Misty that she has been the 5th victim of the boy. At the tent, the boy and his Farfetch'd talk for awhile. Inside the tent, a Pokéball starts to wiggle and then Psyduck pops out of it. Psyduck walks out of the tent. Above, Team Rocket is in their balloon. All three of them want revenge on the boy for stealing their Pokémon. Meanwhile, Misty shows Officer Jenny the place where she ran into the boy. Psyduck comes out of the bushes and Misty runs up to it asking where her backpack is. Psyduck doesn't think straight and Misty gets mad at it.

The boy and his Farfetch'd pack up the Pokéballs and they start to walk. Suddenly, Team Rocket catches up to him and they demand for their Pokémon back. The boy gives them their Pokémon plus whole other bag filled with Pokéballs. Team Rocket take off with the Pokéballs. Ash and co. appear from a bush and Misty spots the boy. They all surround the boy. Ash demands for a Pokémon battle against the boy to teach him a lesson. The boy tells them that Farfetch'd is too weak but Farftech'd wants to battle anyways. Ash chooses Bulbasaur for the battle. Bulbasaur uses Tackle but Farfetch'd jumps out of the way. Bulbasaur uses Vine Whip and hits Farfetch'd a couple of times. Then Farfetch'd uses Agility and the vines start to miss. Then Farfetch'd starts to beat Bulbasaur up with its leak. Bulbasaur gets hurt and Ash puts it back in its Pokéball. Misty calls out for Staryu but she forgot that she doesn't have her Pokéballs with her. Psyduck decides to battle. Farfetch'd laughs at Psyduck and it beats up Psyduck's head with its leak. Psyduck's eyes begin to turn blue and it uses Disable on Farfetch'd. Farfetch'd gets thrown into the boy and they land in a tree.

Meanwhile, Team Rocket are still looking at all the Pokéballs they have. Suddenly, the Pokéballs turn into Voltorb. Team Rocket throws the Voltorb out of their balloon and they explode right where Ash and co. were standing. Later, the boy returns all of the Pokémon and apologizes to everyone. The boy plans on training his Farfetch'd to be even stronger and they say goodbye. Meanwhile, Team Rocket are angry that the boy outsmarted them. There's one more Voltorb left in their balloon. It explodes and Team Rocket falls out of their balloon.

English Official Summary

Even for our heroes, who are constantly in pursuit of developing their skills as Pokémon Trainers, there are times to stop and take a rest. As Ash sits on a rock, staring at his Pokédex, it displays Farfetch'd, an odd-looking Pokémon holding a leek. Because of excessive hunting by humans, very few Farfetch'd remain in existence, making it a very rare, valuable Pokémon. Hearing the word "valuable," Ash is unable to sit still. Just then, coming from an opening in the trees and waving a leek like a baton, a Farfetch'd becomes visible. Will any of our heroes be able to catch this rare Pokémon?
