I didn't like this episode as much as previous Smash, Sunday and even Hoso episodes. We're all so used to what a Pokemon variety show should be for 12+ years that the change in overall style is a bit strange. I'll give them a few weeks as the pilot episodes are always a bit disjointed. Taka and Toshi though don't nearly seem as strong of hosts as TIM were.
