Summary
Since Game Freak Game Designer Shigeki Morimoto was on the show last week to help them with their Pokémon battling, Golgo, Professor Red, Shoko-tan, Baba and Yamamoto were all playing Pokémon Black and White to increase their Pokémon's strength. Akiyama shows up in his Pikachu outfit and is a bit sad as he worked hard to win his battle. The crew tries to cheer him up.

Yamamoto introduces this weeks rerun episode as part of the Pokémon Library and he also announces this weeks theme, Happiness cannot be taken by Force! (幸せはむりやりうばえない!). This weeks Pokémon Library rerun episode was Lots of Patcheel! Searching for Happiness on the Other Side of the Mountain!? (パッチールがいっぱい! 幸せさがして山の彼方に!?) from the Advanced Generation series. A full summary of that episode is available in the episode guide. Shoko-tan starts laughing and Akiyama starts crying which cuts off Yamamoto so Red just decides to quickly do his "OK! Pokémon Library!" go-to line.

After the repeat episode, the International division girls show up and are suprised to see Akiyama in his Pikachu outfit again. The narrator then reviews the events that took place in Pokémon Smash! #18 when Akiyama Immersed himself in Pokémon Life to learn about the new 5th generation Pokémon in the new games Pokémon Black and White.

Akiyama explains that there was a lot of footage that they didn't see in the original broadcast as there was only 15 minutes in his segment and he wants everyone to be able to see all of it. The announcer then explains that Akiyama is planning to do a 'Signature Campaign to Release the Complete Version of Group Member Akiyama's 'Immersed in Pokémon Life' on DVD' so that everyone will be able to watch it.

Segment 1 of the unreleased footage showcases: 'Study the compatibility of the Elite Four with Attacks' (未公開映像① 支店王との相性を体当たりでお勉強!). As Akiyama was reaching the Elite Four in the games, Yamamoto and Baba decided to help Akiyama learn about their type strengths and disadvantages. 11 year old Itō Saya (伊藤紗弥), Thai boxing (ムエタイ Muay Thai) girl from Pokémon Smash! #10 returned and is a Fighting type (かくとうタイプ). Akiyama was dressed up as a personification of the Dark type Pokémon to see how it would affect Master Geema (ギーマ) of the Isshu Elite Four. To test how well a fighting type attack would work against a dark type, Itō Saya kicked Akiyama in the butt. Obviously he felt the attack as fighting type moves have advantages against dark type.

Next Baba who was a Bug type (むしタイプ) used X-Scissor on Akiyama's face. Akiyama quickly realized that it was an effective attack against dark types. He also quickly found out that Psychic type attacks are very ineffective against dark types.

Yamamoto was up next to help Akiyama as he was a Ghost type (ゴーストタイプ) which matched Shikimi (シキミ) of the Isshu Elite Four. Baba who was a Bug type (むしタイプ) used X-Scissor on Yamamoto but it didn't seem to effect him too much. Itō Saya kicked Yamamoto but he quickly got up and acted like it didn't do anything to him as fighting moves are ineffective against Ghost type Pokémon. Yamamoto actually did have to go to the side to recover from the kick though. A girl who was dressed up as a ghost was next and used Shadow Ball against him which was simulated with the girl putting a ball of squid ink (イカスミ) and popping it in his mouth. Akiyama obviously could tell that was effective.

Next up was a guy dressed up like Caitlin (カトレア) who is the Psychic type Isshu Elite Four member and he faced Baba and his X-Scissor. It proved to be super effective against Pyschic Pokémon. He then faced multiple kicks from Itō Saya and it didn't seem to do much. He then was told to face a Psychic type which ended up just being a mirror. He started using the hadōken move against the mirror but that didn't seem to effective. Instead of saying the normal 'hadōken' when doing the move he kept saying 'Esper' (エスパー). Akiyama wanted to double check if Ghost was really effective against Ghost as that didn't seem right to him. Yamamoto was then subjected to the squid ink (イカスミ) Shadow Ball again.

Robert then went off to the Musashi Koyama Palm Mall (武蔵小山商店街パルム) in Tokyo. They were all wearing banners around them that said 'Make DVD Team' (DVD作り隊). Akiyama wanted to get as many people as he could to sign his petition to make his DVD. He was able to get quite a few signatures from various people. One particular young boy knew English and they were asking him what a few things like a pen and a shoe were called in English. Up until that point, the boys answers were all in English but Akiyama pointed to Hiroshi Yamamoto and asked 'This is a...' to which the boy answered 'Hiroshi (ヒーロシ)'. That got a big laugh from all the members of Robert.

Segment 2 of the unreleased footage showcases: 'Pokémon Room Case File' (未公開映像② ポケモンルーム事件簿). Akiyama just sits around in the room and listens to the music for quite awhile. He then begins humming the music in bed.

Robert then head off to the Yokohama Pokémon Center(ポケモンセンターヨコハマ) to continue pitching Akiyama's DVD. THey meet one of the staff members and then Akiyama explains what he is going to put on the DVD.
  1. The First OA (Originally Aired) Video of Immersed in Pokémon Life (第1回ポケモンづけ生活OA映像)
  2. Robert Audio Commentary (ロバートの副音声)
  3. Yadon Akiyama Collection (ヤドン秋山集)
  4. Original Tokiko Sticker (オリジナル トキコステッカー)

The Tokiko sticker is a picture of Group Member Yamamoto's mother (山本隊員の母) which was drawn by Akiyama. They were able to get the staff member to sign the petition.

Segment 3 of the unreleased footage showcases: 'Famous Music' (未公開映像③ 名曲集). Akiyama decided that he needed to make some original music based on the background music from the games. When the show returns to the set, Golgo adds another item to the list that must be on Akiyama's DVD before it can be released. He needs to put 10 successful battles on the DVD. (バトルで10連勝したらDVDを出そうじゃないか!) Akiyama currently only has 1 and just as Akiyama tried to negotiate the number, Golgo insisted it must be 10.

The very annoying SKE48 Idol Group was on the show today to promote their aweful new track. They lipsync'd the song "Banzai Venus" (バンザイ Venus) which got 300,000 pre-orders CD orders for their new single. Seriously, do they really need any more promoting?! Thankfully they only sang the chorus on the show and we weren't subjected to too much torture.

SKE48 was also on the show to battle the PokéSmash members in a 6 on 6 Full Battle with Level 50 Pokémon. Thankfully the PokéSmash members came out victorious and their training and lesson from Game Freak Game Designer Shigeki Morimoto was helpful. Misaki was instrumental in the PokéSmash teams victory.

The trailer for the upcoming 14th movies Victini and the Light Hero - Reshiram / Victini and the Dark Hero - Zekrom (ビクティニと白き英雄レシラム / ビクティニと黒き英雄ゼクロム) was shown near the end of the program. Both movies will debut in Japanese theaters separately on July 17th, 2011. High Definition images from the trailer have been posted on our imageboard. Further information about the movies can also be found in our detailed news article.

Shoko-tan also revealed that she will have a voice acting part in this years movie once again. This will be the 5th movie she will be in. She didn't reveal which part she would be voice acting though.

I'd watch that DVD!
Those SKE girls sure are something, aren't they? They've done share a single DS tag battles before, but I don't think they've ever done a 6 person one. Lots of switching, too! Talk about chaos.
But that just makes the battle all the more fun, now doesn't it?
Does this mean Super Girls or whoever they were that also promoted the bus will get a Smash appearance?
Is this all part of the promotion agreement; promote the bus tour, get a spot on TV to promote the latest single.
Did that song have anything to do with Pokémon?

The full tag battle was really good idea but the girls screaming just got to the point where it made it almost impossible to watch because it was so annoying. It even looked like some of the Pokemon Smash cast members were also kind of annoyed by it too. Hopefully they will do it again when the streaking doesn't hurt the viewers ears. I don't think their song had anything to do with Pokemon at all. It was just there because they are popular in Japan and Pokemon Smash is looking for higher ratings I guess. Though they didn't have more than a minute on the show singing the song thankfully.

Oh, lol, I didn't even notice Golgo saying Best Wishes instead of Pokemon Smash at the end there.
That's pretty funny. Especially since his overpowers everyone else's.
