Summary
This week, the Weekly Pokémon Broadcasting Station shows another variety show. The theme of this episode's installment of Strange and Good Pokémon Plays is "Pokémon Performances". We will take a look at skillfull performances done by Pokémon in the Pocket Monsters TV series, including an impressive juggling show, line dancing, water tricks, acrobatics and more. We see Rokon jumping through hoops of fire, Karakara juggling bones, Eipam walking on stilts, Ariados' human kite flying, a Pokémon ice sculpting battle, Pokémon line dancing, Togepi's Biriridama balance act, Pikachu's face mimicry, Kireihana's dance performance and Marilli's water tricks.

Since broadcasting from this station started back in 2002, a lot of viewers have sent in requests for features. As a special New Year feature, we will do two widely requested features. First off, we will take a look at Pikachu's long and impressive battle career, and showcase its three best battles from gym matches or league matches.
The ranking is as follows:
3) Pikachu and Lizardon's tag battle in the final Orange League gym
2) Pikachu's battle with Kairyu in the Orange League finals
1) Pikachu's battle with Inomoo in the Choji Gym

Following that, we will look at the history of the popular Pokémon Butterfree, the first Pokémon Satoshi got, and detail Butterfree and Satohi's encounter, bonding and tearful separation, largely using scenes from episode 21.

The Rocket Gang again crashes the studio, this time in order to host their own New Year Request Special. A feature we've had an unexpectedly large number of requests for is one on the friendship between Musashi and the Pokémon Happinas, the moving story of the unexpected reunion between Musashi and the Pokémon she befriended back in her student days, as told in episode 131.
