Summary
The episode began with the entire Pokémon Smash crew walking on the set while Akiyama in a Pikachu jumpsuit was sitting at his desk already playing on his Nintendo DS and eating Rice Cakes. The cast asks him what he is doing and he then offers them some of his rice cakes but Golgo quickly refuses.

Golgo introduces this weeks rerun episode as part of the Pokémon Library and he also announces this weeks theme, Chemistry is Important (相性が大切). This weeks rerun episode was Get Pokémon! (ポケモン ゲットだぜ!) from the the original series. A full summary of that episode is available in the episode guide. Red said the go-to line 'OK! Pokémon Library!' to start the repeat episode.

Returning from the repeat episode, Yamamoto explains that Akiyama is deep into playing Pokémon Black and White after being humiliated on last weeks show for his lack of knowledge about the games. The VTR begins and the narrator reminds people about the fact that Pokémon Black and White being released, Pokémon Best Wishes being release and a bunch of new Pokémon all being announced in 2010. Various clips were shown to show just how little Akiyama actually knew about all the new stuff and it concluded with a clip of Akiyama being beat by Misaki in a Pokémon battle during Pokémon Smash #7.

On November 25th, 2010, Akiyama showed up for a meeting with his other Robert group members to discuss Pokémon Black and White. Yamamoto and Baba were both mad at him because at that time he only had 2 badges, only seen 26 Pokémon in his dex and only played for a total of 11:46. Baba then pointed out that the games came out on September 18th, 2010 but Akiyama didn't even start playing until October 12th, 2010. Yamamoto then started doing a Pokémon flip card to see how many of the new 5th generation Pokémon Akiyama could identify. He just tried to avoid having to do so.

Yamamoto then revealed to Akiyama that it was time for him to do another 'Immersed in Pokémon Life' (ポケモンづけ生活!!). Akiyama did a similar task a few months after Pokémon Diamond and Pearl was released and it was showcased on Pokémon Sunday #130.

Baba and Yamamoto took Akiyama to the Pokémon Room where it was all decked out with 5th generation information and posters. Baba and Yamamoto then left Akiyama to do his two tasks. Akiyama changed into his Pikachu outfit and ate some Pokémon Noodles (ポケモンヌードル).

The typesetting in the top right corner states the episode aired on 2010.11.4 while the actually air date for Pokémon Smash #7 was 2010-11-14. 2010.11.4 was a Thursday and its possible the typesetter accidentally put the air date for Best Wishes #8 instead.

Sometimes I can't tell how much of this is for real and how much is just an act.
The behind the scenes nature of some of the quizzing caught me off guard.

Akiyama once again is behind the times! I don't know what it is about people getting hit with a fan, but its funny lol. I liked how during the final quiz, everyone was hoping they could hit Akiyama but no one got the chance.
