N (Natural Harmonia Gropius) was raised by
Ghetsis.
N (Natural Harmonia Gropius) specifically does not think that Pokémon should battle and dislikes people that intend on using Pokémon for battling. He has a bad habit of talking too much when he gets worked up.
N (Natural Harmonia Gropius) met
Ash Ketchum and his friends while on-route to Hiun City. He encountered them on the ship and told them that he heard a friend's voice, referring to
Pikachu. When he heard the voice of
Pikachu heart saying that it loved
Ash Ketchum,
N (Natural Harmonia Gropius) got interested and wanted to meet them. He told them that cases in which humans and Pokémon share such a strong bond are rare.
Cilan as a Science Sommelier couldn't readily believe that
N (Natural Harmonia Gropius) could hear the voice of a Pokémon's heart, so he questioned
N (Natural Harmonia Gropius) about it.
N (Natural Harmonia Gropius) didn't answer straight and said he might just be imagining it. He told
Cilan that it's not important whether you can hear the voice of a Pokémon's heart or not, but that the hearts of the Trainer and the Pokémon are one.
Zekrom and Reshiram interest
N (Natural Harmonia Gropius) quite a bit and when he heard that
Ash Ketchum had encountered Zekrom and was going to try to find Reshiram, he wanted to hear more about his journey.
N (Natural Harmonia Gropius) been looking for answers to his questions: Why are there Pokémon in this world? Why have they been born into this world? Why is the world shaped this way? Are Pokémon really happy now? How do Pokémon become complete entities?
N (Natural Harmonia Gropius) thought that if he met the legendary Pokémon Zekrom and Reshiram, he might understand the world's structure and change the world.
He helped rescue
Pikachu from Rocket Gang and accused
Meowth forgoing Pokémon speak to learn the human language. He was then able to communicate with some nearby Mamanbou who healed
Pikachu. He then disembarked in Hiun City, but he said he would definitely see
Ash Ketchum and his friends again someday.
Rescuing Braviary
Schwarz and
Weiss are team members that often work together on missions. While transporting a captured Braviary to be used as research material,
N (Natural Harmonia Gropius) managed to break into the truck they were driving at rescue Braviary.
The two followed
N (Natural Harmonia Gropius) to a nearby Pokémon Center as they had attached a tracking device to Braviary. They decided to try and reclaim Braviary by breaking into the Pokémon Center.
Ash Ketchum and his friends were there and proved to be a distraction after they realized that Plasma Gang was attacking the Pokémon Center. They followed
N (Natural Harmonia Gropius) who had the tracking device on him now while
Ash Ketchum took Braviary to a save location where it could get away. Realizing that
Schwarz and
Weiss had caught up with
N (Natural Harmonia Gropius), Braviary returned to help
N (Natural Harmonia Gropius). Realizing that they were now defeated,
Schwarz and
Weiss decided to retreat as they were unable to reclaim Braviary.
N (Natural Harmonia Gropius) wished Braviary good luck at it returned to its friends and hoped that he would be able to see it again some day.
Halsey and the Pokémon Gulf Coast Relief Corps
While on a training exercise,
Halsey met
Ash Ketchum and his friends as well as
N (Natural Harmonia Gropius).
N (Natural Harmonia Gropius) and
Halsey didn't get along too well at first as
N (Natural Harmonia Gropius) didn't like the fact that
Halsey was placing his Pokémon in danger to save humans.
Halsey pointed out to him though that there are times when Pokémon save humans but there are also times when it's the other way around and humans save Pokémon.
Halsey further explained to
N (Natural Harmonia Gropius) that its important to not differentiate whether it's a human or a Pokémon when they are going to a rescue. After spending time with
Halsey's Pokémon,
N (Natural Harmonia Gropius) could tell that they weren't being coerced into helping others and that they genuinely wanted to help others. Realizing that,
N (Natural Harmonia Gropius) seemed to respect
Halsey a bit more.
