B2W2 Wi-Fi Tournaments

Wi-Fi competitions are held on the Pokémon Global Link. Participants of the tournaments need to register on the Pokémon Global Link by going to the Wi-Fi Competitions links while logged into the site.

Players then need to setup their Battle Box by going to a Pokémon Center in the game and access the PC. Choose "Someone's PC" and then choose "Battle Box." Players can then choose up to 6 Pokémon and move them to their Battle Box for use in the Wi-Fi competition.

The 2013 Global Showdown tournament for Black 2 & White 2 was open to all regions to participate against each other but was limited to 50,000 participants.

There was three entry categories: Junior (born after 2002), Senior (born between 1998 and 2001) and Master (born before 1997). The moves Dark Void and Sky Drop couldn't be used. Soul Dew couldn't be held by a Pokémon.

This was the final competition hosted at the current PGL website! Those who participate in this competition received priority opportunity to participate in a test competition featuring Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, hosted at the new PGL website!

Start training for a new Wi-Fi tournament! Registration has begun for the 2013 Spring Friendly at the Pokémon Global Link. This Wi-Fi Competition runs May 17–20 and includes players from all over the globe, so you can test your team against the world’s best! Plus, all qualifying players in the 2013 Spring Friendly will receive two C-Gear skins featuring Black Kyurem and Pokémon White Kyurem for their Pokémon Black Version 2 or Pokémon White Version 2 game!

The 2013 Spring Friendly features Single Battles, where all Pokémon are automatically set to Level 30 while participating. It is open to every Pokémon in the Unova Pokédex of Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2, so check the rules to see which Pokémon are eligible before registering.

Players competing in the 2013 International Challenge April will be divided into two age divisions: Junior/Senior Division: Born 1998 or later and Masters Division: Born 1997 or earlier

The Japan Cup 2013 took place in May in Japan was the second Japan Cup Tournament. There was three entry categories: Junior (born after 2002), Senior (born between 1998 and 2001) and Master (born before 1997).

It was later announced on April 18th, 2013, that to celebrate the Pokémon Global Link Japan Cup 2013 (ジャパンカップ2013), all those that registered and participated in the tournament could get the Black Kyurem or White Kyurem C-Gear skins as a gift. Dates Available for Japan: April 26th, 2013 at 13:00 until June 11th, 2013 at 16:00.

The official Japanese Pokémon Global Link website has announced the NicoNico Championships 2013 (ニコニコ超選手権2013) Wi-Fi tournament on March 7th, 2013. NicoNico Douga is a popular video sharing website in Japan. The tournament was only open to players of the Japanese version of Pocket Monsters Black 2 and White 2 who were at least 18 years of age or older. The initial tournament took place from April 6th, 2013 until April 8th, 2013 with the top 4 players to be invited to a battle in real life at the NicoNico Conference 2 which took place April 27th, 2013 and April 28th, 2013. Further details on this tournament were revealed on March 22nd, 2013.

The Kanto Cup (カントーカップ) Wi-Fi tournament has been announced for all players of the Japanese versions of Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. players. Registration for the tournament is from February 15th, 2013 at 13:00 until February 22nd, 2013 at 23:59. The tournament starts on February 23rd, 2013 at 00:00 and goes until February 25th, 2013 at 23:59. This tournament is a Single Battle and only Kanto Pokémon can participate with the exception of Mewtwo and Mew. All participants will receive the Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise C-Gear skin for Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. They were previously only available in Black and White.

There was two categories in the tournament: Elementary School for those born on or after April 2nd, 2000 and those Junior High School or older who were born before April 1st, 2000.

The 2012 VGCS Winter Battle is the first time results from a GBU Wi-Fi Competition will count in a North American Pokémon Video Game Championships Series season, adding to an already exciting year that kicked off with the Autumn Regional Championships this October. The powerful Custap Berry gives the Pokémon holding it a better chance to strike first the turn after its HP gets low.

Beginning with the 2012 VGCS Winter Battle, taking place December 13th through December 17th, top finishers of the Wi-Fi tournament will earn byes at live tournaments, including January's Pokémon Winter Regional Championships. Top participants will also receive Championship Points, bringing them one step closer to potentially earning invitations to the 2013 Pokémon World Championships in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Registration will run from November 30th to December 6th, and will be open for a maximum of 50000 participants, spread over the age brackets Junior (born after to 2001, 10000 participants max), Senior (born between 1997 and 2000, 10000 participants max) and Master (born before 2000, 30000 participants max). All participants will receive a special promotional set of 8 Pokémon dolls for their dream home.

The Pokémon Center Cup (ポケモンセンターカップ オンライン) was a Wi-Fi Tournament for the Japanese Pokémon Global Battle Union and it was a Single Battle tournament to feature players strongest Pokémon. The tournament was open to the first 50000 players that had a copy of the Japanese versions of Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 (ポケットモンスター ブラック2・ホワイト2) and registered for the tournament.

Players names that were listed in the tournaments rankings were also be able to get the special Musical Pokémon Center de Style♪ (ポケモンセンターDEオシャレ♪) starting on November 21st, 2012.

There were 3 categories in this tournament: Junior (Born after January 1, 2001), Senior (Born between January 1, 1997 and December 31st, 2000) and Master (Born before December 31st, 1996). The top three winners in each tournament category will also receive a set of Black Kyurem and White Kyurem plushies.

All Star Cup 2012 (オールスターカップ2012)

The Beginning Cup was a Double Battle tournament and the eligible Pokémon include all the Pokémon from the new Isshu dex in the Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 games with the exception of Victini, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Keldeo, Meloetta and Genesect. People who wanted to participate must have registered to the Pokémon Daisuki Club and Pokémon Global Link sites to sign up for the tournament and the registration operated on a first-come-first-serve basis.

There were three age brackets, Juniors (for those born after 2001), Seniors (for those born from 1997 to 2000) and Masters (for those born before 1996).
