Summary
It's a bright sunny day in Pallet Town. A bell rings in Professor Oak's lab and so Tracey goes to answer it. He opens the door and he sees a Pikachu standing in front of it. Pikachu smiles and Richie introduces himself. Hearing his name before, Tracey assumes that the Pikachu is Sparky. Tracey lets them in and he gives Richie a drink. Tracey asks of why Richie is here and Richie says that he needs advice from the Professor for evolving his Eevee. Tracey tells Richie that the Professor is at a TV station, but he gives the Professor a call anyways. Mary answers the phone and she tells Tracey that Professor Oak has vanished. Surprised by this, Tracey and Richie head down to the TV Station.

When they arrive at the station, Mary is already waiting for them. They walk inside the building and Mary explains the situation. Tracey thinks that the Professor could've left somewhere but Officer Jenny says he never left the building. Getting involved, Richie asks Mary to tell everything that happened from the beginning. So Mary tells them her story.

Mary tells them that the Professor and her were going to do a broadcast. Everything was running smoothly in the morning. When they were taking a lunch break, the Professor disappeared. Mary then tells them that two scientists came up to the Professor. Richie thinks that the scientists have something to do with the Professor's disappearance and Officer Jenny agrees. Officer Jenny tells them that the guards haven't seen any scientists exit the building so now they have a mystery to solve.

They go outside and Richie starts to do some thinking. Officer Jenny tells him that no one has used any of the back exits and that the front exit is guarded by guards. Richie asks one of the guards if he has seen any delivery men. Tracey thinks he's on to something and Richie tells him his story. Richie thinks that a guy with a package was walking by. The package holds another person. And so those two people take the Professor and they put him in the package and walk off. The guard tells them his story about a person walking in with a stuffed Nidoqueen. Richie thinks that the guy walking by was someone in disguise.

In a truck, Professor Oak is tied up in the back. The two people are Cassidy and Butch from Team Rocket. Cassidy and Butch were the ones in the scientist disguises. As Richie said, Butch was the one who was acting as a delivery guy. He was carrying a stuffed Nidoqueen. The Nidoqueen was really Cassidy in disguise. So in the back, Cassidy and Butch take of their disguises and they dress themselves up as two scientists. They approach the Professor and they say that they found a new discovery. Professor decides to take a look at it but they do it in another room where it's private. Butch opens up the small case and a Bulbasaur pops out. The Bulbasaur sprays sleeping gas on Professor Oak and then Cassidy and Butch do their motto. Professor Oak falls asleep and they put him in the Nidoqueen costume. They put him in the truck and they drive off.

Richie is trying to put the story together. The guard says that two people came out of the building with the same Nidoqueen. Richie asks the guard about the truck. The guard replies that it was a truck with a Pidgeot on it. They all get into Officer Jenny's car and they try to find the truck.

In the truck Cassidy and Butch and they tell them how it all started. It started with Professor Nanba giving Cassidy and Butch orders to kidnap Professor Oak for his project. Cassidy tells Butch to turn right at a corner and they head off.

Meanwhile, Officer Jenny has contacted another police officer. She tells the kids that they haven't seen the truck yet. Richie sends out his Taillow (Rose). Richie tells Rose to look for a truck with a Pidgeot marking on it. Richie also has to explain to Rose what a Pidgeot is. Tracey sketches a Pidgeot and shows it to Rose and then Rose takes off to look for Team Rocket.

Team Rocket, however, has stopped at a small house and they hid their truck behind some bushes. In the house, Professor Oak has awakened and Butch gets Professor Nanba on the line. Professor Nanba is on a big screen moniter and he tells Cassidy and Butch that his identity was supposed to be a secret. Professor Nanba then wants Professor Oak to tell him about the Pokerus because he needs the information for his project. But Professor Oak doesn't tell them anything. So Cassidy and Butch puts corks in their ears and they get out a piece of glass and a nail. Cassidy scrapes the nail against the glass and Professor Oak screams.

Just then, Rose has spotted their hideout and is now on his way back to Richie. Rose tells Richie that he found the truck. Everyone gets in the car and they follow Rose.

Now Professor Oak has fallen off his chair and Team Rocket has finally made Professor Oak talk. However, Professor Oak just stalls them with useless information. Then Rose comes and breaks the glass that Butch was holding. Cassidy closes up the moniter and the kids ask if Professor Oak is okay. Tracey and Richie see Team Rocket and Richie says Butch's name wrong. Then Team Rocket grabs the Professor's legs and they head off.

Cassidy calls out her Sableye and Richie chooses Sparky. While draggin the Professor Cassidy calls out for a Scratch attack. The Scratch scores a hit but it doesn't do too much damage to Sparky. Team Rocket starts to put the Professor in the truck when the kids stop them. Butch calls out Mightyena. Rose uses Gust on Mightyena but Sableye counters back with Focus Punch. Then Tracey calls out Scyther. Mightyena attacks Scyther with a Bite and then Scyther counters with Slash. Mightyena uses a Tackle on Scyther and Scyther gets worn out a bit. Mightyena then uses an Iron Tail on Scyther which knocks it out.

Richie orders Sparky to attack. Sableye uses Fury Swipes on both Rose and Sparky and Richie calls Rose back. Richie also tells Sparky to get back. Then Richie sends out Zippo (Charmeleon). He tells it to use Flamethrower but Mightyena jumps to the side. Some of the embers lands on Professor Oak's head and he screams. He starts to run fast and right into the wall. Team Rocket starts to run towards them. Mightyena attacks with Bite and Sableye attacks with Scratch. Richie orders a Thunderbolt and Sparky thunderbolts Sableye. Sableye falls to the ground and lands on Mightyena. Then Zippo uses Fire Spin which knocks Mightyena and Sableye along with Cassidy and Butch into the wall. Sparky uses Thunder on Team Rocket and they blast off.

Tracey and Richie asks if Professor Oak is okay and he's fine. Mary then remembers that they still have to do the broadcast and with help from Officer Jenny they make it back to the TV Station on time. Everyone is watching the broadcast including Tracey and Richie. At break Richie asks Professor Oak his Eevee question. Professor Oak says that he can help him at the ranch. Mary then tells Professor Oak that they have to get back.

The narrator says his last words and the episode ends...
